Inflowential (inflow) is a Raleigh, NC based hip hop quartet consisting of two clever, conscientious MCs, TAB-1 and Charlie Smarts, a human beat boxer Adid the Abstract, and bassist/guitar player Michael Bender. The four come together to form a unique listening experience rooted heavily in raw hip hop, soul and jazz When possible the group also utilizes the guest instrumentation of Saxophonist Blu Thompson, Guitarist Sean Roux and Vocalist Ahbleza Sellars. With the group’s ability to keep heads nodding, its ease of connection with any crowd and its vibrant live show, Inflowential has affirmed itself as a household name around North Carolina’s triangle region. In January 2006 the band was nominated for top hip hop act of the region by The Independent, a triangle-based weekly publication. Their continued success also delivered them in February to Atlantic Records’ Talent Showcase at North Carolina Central University. The competition with 42 other acts over three days, yielded yet again another successfully completed milestone in the artists every growing career, with a win. That same month, Inflowential headlined the nationally known Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh drawing more 320 for the show marking the release of it debut EP, The Inflow E.P. (Evolutionary Process). For these handful of skilled artists its just a matter time before they become national or even international known.
