A multi talented child was born to Larry and Dorothy Evans. That child is Conscious. His talents consist of lyrical rhyme; playing drums and he also possess an extraordinary ear for making beats from the sonic soundscapes within background music. This is something that the average listener’s untrained ear is incapable of. Justin at an impressionable age of 3 began his musical journey first by playing drums. As he got older his musical influences grew as well. While attending school, he was introduced to various types of music. However gospel played and continues to be a major roll within his musical journey. It wasn’t until Justin began to acknowledge the lyrical talent of his brother Anthony Evans, did he find a clearer image of his future. This interest inspired Justin to use his God given talent to the best of his ability. With his passion ever growing, playing drums with the Freedom Temple Church Music Ministry at age 12 he continued in his pursuit of perfection. Performing in numerous Triangle Area (Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill) venues. Soon he seized these opportunities to perform in Ministries along the eastern seaboard (Virginia, Philadelphia, New York, and Connecticut). Embracing the roars and applause the Freedom Temple Church Music Ministry received from the audiences, fueled the fire for his success to come. With a yearning to be accepted as an artist, Justin homed in on his brothers lyrical talent and rhyming skills while progressing with his formal studies of percussion. Trying to follow in the footsteps of Mos Def and Common on the microphone, he pursued beat creation in every available avenue. This evolution has delivered him the raw skills and recognition from his peers. Justin remains patient, in anticipation of his musical/lyrical debut, when the world is blessed with the humble brilliance of what was thought to be lost. The unity and respect that flows from his frame of mind will grace the covers of every mainstream industry magazine. Upon which the story shall be written, “The Struggle beyond Success…”
